“Schwarzi Müüs and sewing machine, Näimaschine schwarzi For sale.
Wiissi Müüs und Näimaschine, Näimaschine wiissi Sold.”

(Dällebach Kari, my favorite scene: Kari marches down to Nydeggstalden at night, one foot on the sidewalk, a foot on the asphalt, Peter Markus sings/marches with him in the canon as well: schwarzi Sell u Näimaschine ….. I go to this scene almost every night or I have to go to Kurt Frühs or Walo Lüönds Kari and take him to these old spits under the arbours, where the Salvation Army sings and the weird figures crouch close together in the wine. The bars are steaming, everything is loose. A rural and long-gone Bern with so much touching warmth …. and Kari …. sad and comforting …. sometimes I watch a film a hundred and fifty times in a row …. Movie scenes are my family, my medication …. but mostly it's scenes and movies in black and white with people, who are no longer alive and stories, that have passed, everything, what has passed, calms me down, I find contemporary cinema and television unbearable …. loveless ….. I don't understand the plots …. I can't find shelter, I need that sentimentality and accessibility of the old… maybe- paradox- even a form of conservatism, and, most likely! The sentimentality of Kurt Früh's and Franz Schnyder's characters has gotten me through so many nights…. how long I haven't been in Junkerngasse!)
